Hi Ian,

Our blood products are made from food-grade ingredients and are completely safe to have on the skin / in the mouth. They do have high concentrations of corn syrup and sodium, however, so while swallowing a bit here and there during a mouth bleeding effect certainly won’t be a problem, we don’t advise filling a glass with blood and going bottoms up.

A good analogy would be toothpaste, or mouthwash. We put those things in our mouths all the time and they’re completely safe. Inevitably we accidentally swallow some and there’s no harm done. But eating toothpaste or drinking mouthwash? We wouldn’t want to do that.
